After Sight? An Aid for the Blind and Vision Impaired

The After Sight Model 1 is a wearable vision assistance device slightly larger than a cell phone. It's dedicated functions are visual to auditory sensory substitution, computer vision object recognition, face detection and localization, and collision avoidance using a distance sensor.

The device requires the user to wear a set of glasses with a built in camera, and a set of headphones. We recommend the Technaxx TX-25 video glasses and Aftershokz bone conduction headphones.

In the future we intend to add  sign reading capabilities, color identification, and anything else that a computer can do for the blind/visually impaired.
